Prosperity
The liberated heart of Hope County, rebuilt by survivors.
Prosperity is a survivor-built settlement in Hope County, Montana, in the post-apocalyptic world of Far Cry New Dawn. Originally just a small settlement built around a gas station and diner, it was expanded by survivors after the Collapse before being seized by the Highwaymen. The player liberates it early in the game, turning it into the central hub for the resistance against the Highwaymen and their leaders, Mickey and Lou.

Lore & Background
The settlement represents the resilience of Hope County's survivors in the face of post-apocalyptic chaos. Unlike the Eden's Gate cult of Far Cry 5, the Highwaymen are a ruthless gang focused on plunder and control. Prosperity was never a Highwaymen-run commerce hub; instead, it became a beacon of hope and cooperation after being freed. Its walls and defenses, once symbols of Highwaymen oppression, now protect a community rebuilding from the ashes.
In Their Own Story
The sun beat down on the orange flags snapping in the wind as I approached the gates of Prosperity. The air smelled of burning rubber and fresh paint, a strange cocktail for a dead world. Above the entrance, a mural depicted two twins watching over the town, their eyes painted to follow every visitor. Inside, traders shouted over the roar of engines, oblivious to the scars on the land that birthed this new kingdom.
Reader's Guide
Prosperity serves as the main operational base for the player after liberation in Far Cry New Dawn. Initially controlled by the Highwaymen, capturing this settlement unlocks critical gameplay features including weapon crafting, vehicle upgrades, and mission dispatching. Its role is pivotal to the story progression, acting as the anchor point for the Resistance against the Twins. Players return here frequently to manage resources and coordinate attacks on other territories. Why it matters: Without securing Prosperity, the Security Captain cannot fully establish a foothold in Hope County. It transforms from an enemy stronghold into the player's home base, symbolizing the shift from survival to rebuilding society.
